The Ciders weekly diary .....

Week 1
All the babies are doing very well, I have not put sexes up because they appear to be changing everytime that I look!! so I will post that when I am more sure. Colours to be announced in a couple of weeks when they start developing. Ok as far as I can tell we have 4 boys and 2 girls, but of course this is all subject to change. All have their eyes open at 4 days old!!

Week 2
I know I say this with every litter we have but I really cannot believe it has been 2 weeks already. I am so pleased with this litter they are fabulous, but they are going to be little terrors. They are so alert and go crazy when you visit them in their box, meowing and fighting to get to you first. They all congregate by the entrance and I came home today to find 4 little faces staring at me through the hole. It wont be long before they are crawling around everywhere!!! I think that we have a blue mink, 2 blue points, 2 lilac points and a chocolate point, but again it is very early and this could change.

Week 3
It looks like they may all possibly be boys!!! I am still not certain on colours sorry. We definately have 2 possibly 3 lilac minks, 1 chocolate point or mink, 1 might possibly be a brown point and the dark kitten I am still not sure about. He is either blue mink, brown mink or possibly even chocolate solid, he seems to change daily. They have been moved into the living room now and seem quite happy. Kaiya has had a problem this week with infected anal glands and is on anti biotics and will need surgery on Wednesday. Phoebe managed to steal Scrumpy Jack yesterday, we found her snuggled up with him in one of the spare nursery boxes. They are all lovely, I am very pleased with them. There are 6 boys!!!!! and I am pretty sure that we have a lilac point, lilac mink, blue point, chocolate point, chocolate mink and I am still not sure what colour Scrumpy Jack is.

Week 4
They are sooooo cute, they are pouncing on each other now and playing. They had their first raw feed today and thoroughly enjoyed it. They are already eating Royal Canin Kitten 34 Baby cat food and drinking water. They love human company and go mad when we come home so that they can come out and play. Aunty Phoenix now goes in and babysits for a little while to give mummy Kaiya a break. We have kitten visits next weekend scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

Week 5
They are everywhere!!!! playing, running, pouncing and scaling up our legs to get up onto our shoulders and purr. We had a couple of kitten visits yesterday and Bow, Stella the Fella and Scrumpy Jack were all chosen by their new families. Stella the Fella and Scrumpy will be going together to their new home. They are all doing really well, some are using the litter box and some are not, but it wont be long until they are all using the box and we have no little accidents.

Week 6
They are now able to get up on the sofa by themselves eek!!! and have kicked the adults out of their favourite bed. They can climb the cat tree but havent quite figured out how to get down by themselves yet. Litter training is going well with all of them using the litter boxes. They are playing, pouncing, chasing and they are enjoying their new kitten triangle which all of our litters get. We buy a new one each time as they dont last too long when you have loads of kittens using it constantly. They have also discovered their love of people and a comfy lap to sleep on and also try and help me with my diary updates which can be quite annoying as they arent very good at typing!!!!

The Leap Year's weekly diary

Week 1

They are lovely little fat lumps, eyes are starting to open, we have browns and blues and 2 tabbies. Bunny will be staying here with us. Phoebe is being a fantastic mum as usual. I cant wait until they start moving around a bit more.

Week 2

They are already trying to leave the nursery box and go and explore on their own. Mum has tried moving them as they do when they get a bit too adventurous, we have now moved them into the living room as Phoebe seems happy with them in there. They are all doing really well. My favourite age is right around the corner, it will be interesting to see them playing with the Cider's.
